Plant Operator Testing

We deliver plant operator training and testing under the Construction Plant Competence Scheme (CPCS) and the National Plant Operators Registration Scheme (NPORS).

Plant operators should hold industry recognised qualifications, especially when working with major contractors and house builders. Depending on your requirements, CPCS or NPORS testing ensures that your operators have met the required standard for safe and efficient equipment operation, in line with the latest legislation.

“Every employer shall ensure that all persons who use work equipment have received adequate training for the purposes of health and safety, including training in the methods which may be adopted when using the work equipment, any risks which such use may entail and precautions to be taken.

Every employer shall ensure that any of his employees who supervise or manages the use of work equipment has received adequate training for the purposes of health and safety, including training in the methods which may be adopted when using the work equipment any risks which such use may entail and precautions to be taken. ”

Regulation 9 of the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998

Construction Learning World can supply training and testing for over 40 different categories of plant equipment on site or at one of our training centres, subject to CPCS and NPORS stipulations.

The main objective of the National Plant Operators Registration Scheme (NPORS) is to allow NPORS Accredited Training Providers a flexible approach to meet the needs of the employer to help and assist in providing an adequately trained workforce within the UK. The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) recognise NPORS as competent to accredit and monitor organisations to train instructors and/or to train, test and certificate operators.
