Construction Learning World provides a wide range of ‘off the shelf’ and tailored training courses for employers. We provide training in all manner of subjects including SMSTS, SSSTS, Abrasive Wheels, First Aid at Work and NRSWA.

From 2010, the UK Contractors Group (UKCG) will be introducing a ‘zero tolerance’ policy for supervisors who have not taken the Site Supervisor’s Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS). Indeed, both the SSSTS and Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) are given as examples of competence within the CDM 2007 Approved Code of Practice. The UKCG’s commitment to health and safety mirrors the growing awareness of the construction industry that a solid base of training makes sound business practice. Furthermore, completion of an SMSTS course can help towards gaining CHAS compliance.

One Stop Solution for Training

Each month, we arrange over 300 courses all over the UK, on site and at our training centres. Our Training Coordinators have a wealth of knowledge and experience in providing construction related training to suit your businesses’ needs.

Competitively priced and geared to address your specific business needs, Construction Learning World aims to make identifying and booking training courses as easy as possible. We provide the solution - whether you need a comprehensive rolling training programme or a short course urgently delivered.

Where eligible, we will make sure you get the training grant due to you. Where you see the GrantBack logo, you’ll find details of how much grant could be claimed for participation in the course. Unlike most other training providers, we are set up to claim grants on your behalf – let us do the work and take the headache away from you.

Before and After Care

Our aim is to make the whole process simple and geared to your team. A week before the course we will send candidates a mobile phone text reminder about their course, then again the day before the course.

Then, one month after the course, we will send the candidates a course resume detailing the key points from the training and also invite the candidate to discuss any questions arising with the course trainer.

Our approach means that the candidates that you put forward are looked after because communication is clear and timely.

All training is delivered by Construction Learning World’s qualified trainers, delivered on site wherever possible or at one of our many training centres. We work around you to make sure everything fits to your operation’s requirements.
