The Process
Following your initial enquiry, a Business Development Manager will contact you to discuss your requirements and agree an action plan that meets your training needs.
“It soon became clear that Construction Learning World was the preferred choice. Unlike other providers, CLW offered a full service, organising CSCS cards, touch screen tests, NVQs and so on. Importantly, CLW also took care of organising the funding to support the process.”
Gavin Clegg, Operations Manager, North Midland Construction.
We provide an end-to-end service:
Step 1
We collect information on each candidate – their name, National Insurance number and date of birth.
Step 2
We arrange a Profiling Session with the candidates, at a time and date to suit you. The session takes places on site, normally in the canteen. Each candidate will need to bring proof of identity (such as a passport or birth certificate) and proof of their address.
Each session can accommodate from 1 to 100 people and, depending on the number of candidates, the session normally takes up to 2 hours, which is the longest ‘downtime’ your candidates will have over the entire process.
Step 3
Each candidate is assigned an Assessor, who will arrange a date and time to meet the candidate and begin the NVQ process. Our Assessor visits the candidate on site at regular intervals, providing training and collecting evidence to support the NVQ. If certain areas need more attention, the Assessor will provide additional training to ensure that the candidate is on track.
Throughout the process, we will provide appropriate feedback to each candidate and, where relevant, management information to you.
Step 4
A health and safety test will be booked for all the candidates.
Step 5
Once all of the evidence required for the NVQ has been collected and verified, the candidate’s NVQ certificate will be delivered, along with their CSCS or CPCS card, to you for presentation to the candidate.
