Construction Learning World (CLW), the largest provider of on site NVQ assessment and training to the construction sector, has expanded its capability to deliver a wide range of ‘off the shelf’ and bespoke training courses to meet the growing requirements of the sector.
Alongside a rapidly growing nationwide base of training centres, CLW’s industry qualified and experienced trainers can deliver courses on client’s sites, ensuring minimal downtime and a cost effective approach to training the workforce.
Courses offered include Site Safety Plus training, including the Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) and the Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS), Abrasive Wheels, Working at Height and Utility Avoidance. In addition, CLW provides training, such as Manual Handling and Office Safety, not only for construction operatives but for office staff as well.
“In today’s market place employers are looking for cost effective and timely training courses geared to their needs,” says CLW Business Development Director, Adrian Woodhouse. “Our existing NVQ delivery means that we are set up to claim training grants on behalf of clients, which not only makes the courses even more cost effective, but also frees up the client’s time and resources.”
CLW believes in putting the customer first, as explained by Sales Manager, Stuart Anderson:
“Whether it’s supplying a bespoke training and development plan or if you simply need a course delivered quickly, we can help. Our approach is to listen and understand client’s needs so that we can provide exactly what is required. We aim to make everything easy and simple for the client and their operatives.”
CLW is also pleased to expand its range of practical and theory plant testing through the Construction Plant Competence Scheme (CPCS) and the National Plant Operators Registration Scheme (NPORS), as explained by Roy Smith, CLW’s National Plant Training Manager:
“As well as plant testing and registration for nearly fifty different plant categories, we can now deliver pre-test courses to make sure operatives are in the best position to go into their plant tests. In order to meet employer demand we are constantly increasing our range of plant testing.”
