CLW and Barratt Homes promote CSCS compliance through NVQs

Leading construction industry assessment and training services provider Construction Learning World (CLW), together with award-winning housing developer and home-builder Barratt Homes, have introduced an initiative that clearly promotes Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) compliance through the delivery of National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs).
The promotion involves the publishing of a new poster targeting construction workers and clearly shows the difference between yellow, green, blue and gold CSCS cards, in particular the difference between blue Experienced Worker and blue Skilled Worker cards.
In recent field trials, the poster has proved to be very useful for busy site managers. Consequently, to make the difference between the cards even easier to understand, CLW has now produced a generic version for other construction businesses to use on site.
“The poster represents a good example of how CLW likes to support construction employers”, says Business Development Director, Adrian Woodhouse. “Barratt Homes needed a way for site managers to be able to quickly tell if an operative had the right CSCS card, so we created a poster which did just that.”
Mr Woodhouse continues: “So far, the feedback from Barratt Homes has been very positive and therefore, so that the CSCS card system can be more clearly understood, we have produced a similar poster which can be used by the other construction firms that we work with.”
CLW provides a wide range of construction and plant NVQs and delivers high-quality on-site assessment and training nationwide through a team of over 100 assessors, profilers and internal verifiers.
