Learning World Celebrates Investors in People Week
Nottingham based construction and logistics training provider, Learning World, is marking Investors in People Week (3rd to 7th November) by renewing its commitment to the Standard through organising staff focused fun events. As well as a celebration lunch for all of its office based staff, Learning World is also ensuring that its one hundred plus externally based staff are receiving a special gift to thank them all for their work and support.
The theme for this year's Investors in People Week is celebrating the success that Investors in People has brought to organisations and Learning World is no exception. When Learning World gained the prestigious Standard in 2006, a total of seventy five worked for the company, now two years later the supplier of National Vocational Qualifications (NVQS) employs over two hundred people and has delivered over 22,000 NVQs to the construction and logistics sectors.
Learning World’s Managing Director, Helen Smith explains:
“Everyone at Learning World spends a great deal of time working to help our client businesses to develop their workforce through delivering NVQs. It makes good business sense to invest in our own staff to make sure that everyone has the right training that they need to do their job; this includes ensuring that everyone understands their contribution to our business goals. Given that we’ve grown so fast, many of our staff were not around when we first achieved the Investors Standard, so our celebrations are not only rewarding our teams efforts, but also helping to raise awareness about Investors in People too.”
