To have qualified this many people under the NVQ system in three and a half years is a real achievement and shows our ambition in promoting career development and our team’s willingness to grasp the opportunities that are being offered to them.”

John Devaney was delighted get the formal recognition qualification to work as a precision steel-fixer. “Aside from the pride in achieving the professional qualification, I know that it will support and help my career in the industry in the future,” he said.

We are delighted to have been able to help so many people throughout the organisation attain recognised professional qualifications and support the development of a skilled, competent, knowledgeable workforce.”

The National Employer Service’s Jenny Herdman, the body which provides essential funding and support that enables the training and assessment to take place, said, “I am very impressed with the level of commitment of both companies and look forward to continuing the partnership over the coming years and seeing the 5000th Laing O’Rourke NVQ student recognised in the not too distant future.”
